ONE DAY EVENTS AT JUDGEMEADOW

Judgemeadow Community College on Marydene Drive is hosting a one-day extravaganza on Saturday May 15th to showcase a variety of the adult education courses run by Leicester Adult Skills and Learning Service.

Start to Sign – BSL is an introduction to British Sign Language, the recognised way of communicating with a deaf person. Those who attend will be taught how to use BSL to greet a deaf person, introduce themselves, use a few phrases and find out how to spell words using finger signs. The course runs from 10.00am to 3.00pm

Start Your Own Business is based around the essential elements of a business plan. Each area is covered in detail. Learners should come to the class with an idea of the business they are thinking of starting and be prepared to discuss their ideas with the group. A very popular course at the moment with employment figures under pressure, this course runs from 10.00am to 4.00pm

Introduction to Digital Photography is a taster session which offers an opportunity to have a go at “Digital Photography” – you will get the chance to meet the tutor, and talk about how we can make the course meet your needs. This course will enable you to take well-composed photograph, developing existing skills and learning the digital jargon. This course runs from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
